Migraine is a paroxysmal ailment,accompanied by  a severe headache.It comes generally on one side of the head and associated with disorders of the digestion,liver and vision.It usually occurs when a person is under mental tension.
A migraine comes all of sudden  head and neck muscles reacting from continuous stress.Muscles squeeze the arteries and reduce the blood flow.there is a definite pattern of a migraine.Pain is on only one side and often  radiates from the eye.Migraine attacks are preceded by a short period of depression ,irritability and lose of appetite.

Symptoms:
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Heavy  pain 
  • Blood vessels on affecting side become pulsating 
  • Numbness in legs or arms
  • Some times affects both sides of the face
Causes:
  • Low blood sugar
  • Allergy,infection
  • Excessive intake of certain drugs
  • Low energy (nutrition deficiency)
  • Improper sleep and rest(over work)
  • Excessive smoking and drinking
  • Sexual indulgence
  • Menstruation in women also one of the important cause of migraine
Home remedies for migraine: 

Grapes: Juice of ripe grapes is one of the best home remedy for a migraine.Grapes contain vitamin C & A as well as B 2.Skin and seeds of that provide riboflavin and other nutrients which may helps to relief your migraine.  


Niacin: Niacin has proved helpful in the treatment of migraine.Valuable source of this vitamin are yeast, whole wheat,green leafy vegetables,tomatoes,nuts,sunflower seeds,liver and fish.


Cabbage leaf compress:  An ancient  remedy to get relief from  the pain of migraine is a cabbage leaf compress.A few leafs of the vegetable should be crushed and then place it in a cloth keep it on forehead before going to bed or when convenient during day time.The compress should be removed when the leaves dry out. 


Apple cider vinegar: Allow vinegar in wash rug and keep it on head where you are feeling  pain.Allow it for 30 min and repeat this process 3 times in a day to get relief from migraine pain.


Lemon crust: Lemon crust have also been found beneficial in the treatment of migraine.Take lemon crust and make it into paste.Apply it as a plaster on the forehead.It will gives great relief from the migraine pain.


Vegetable juice: Carrot juice in combination with spinach juice or beet cucumber juice are one of the best remedies to get relief from the migraine.


Tips to avoid migraine: 
  • Be active exercises for 20 - 30 min every 5 days in a week to avoid migraine
  • Avoid alcohol
  • Drink plenty of water
  • Omega-3 fatty acids such as salmon,tuna,mackerel etc...
  • Meditation
  • Avoid caffeine drinks
