Home Remedies For Diabetes

Diabetes is a condition characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) levels due to lack or insufficient production of a hormone called insulin in the body.Diabetes is a kind of disease that gradually affects your entire system and almost every organ of your body like your kidneys, eyes, heart etc.It is a lifelong condition that can be managed with careful diet control and proper medication. For Diabetics, what you eat and when you eat is most important.

Here we list some effective home remedies for diabetes

Bitter Gourd : The juice of karela with seeds or the cooked vegetable is beneficial for diabetics. This helps to reduce suagr levels in the blooad as well as in the urine.Drink this juice one empty stomach daily in the morning.

Soyabean : Include Soyabean in your daily diet chart that may be in any form like soya milk,soya flour,whole beans. This helps to control the blood sugar levels in diabetics.

Black Jamun : Undoubtedly, this is the best fruits for diabetics. It is known to improve blood sugar control. This fruit contains an enzyme called "Jamboline" which helps to control blood sugar levels. Jamun juice spiked with black salt tastes delicious too. So include this fruit in your regular diet.

Fenugreek : The leaves and seeds of fenugreek are effective in controlling the diabetes. One teaspoon of fenugreek seeds soaked in water overnight should be consumed with milk on empty stomach daily.

Split Bengal gram : According to studies, Split bengal gram helps in utilization of blood sugar effectively thus causing a slow raise in blood sugar levels. So include split bengal gram in your regular diet chart.

Foods to be avoided :

Foods like Fruit juices, deep fried foods, dried fruits and nuts, sweeteners like sugar,jaggery, creamy salad dressings, Aerated drinks should be avoided.
